Intelligence or Cognitive Testing
Also called IQ tests, these assessments attempt to measure
your intellectual functioning or your basic ability to
understand and assimilate the world around you and apply this
knowledge to enhance the quality of your life. These tests also
assess cognitive or brain functions such as memory, visual and
verbal reasoning skills, visual and verbal learning ability and
so on. Cognitive assessments are often used by schools, the
court system and individuals to form the basis of understanding
an individual’s abilities.
At Behavioral Associates, our Psychologists conduct the
following types of Intelligence Tests:
- Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence – 3rd
Edition (WPPSI-III)
- Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – 4th Edition (WISC-IV)
- Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale – 3rd Edition (WAIS-III)
- Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales, 5th Edition (SB5)
- Batería III Woodcock-Muñoz (Spanish Language Test)
Often, pre-schools and elementary schools recommend or
require IQ testing for admission. At Behavioral Associates, our
Psychologist’s perform these tests for admission purposes.
