Flying With the Greatest of Ease |
The Wall Street Journal, Thursday, June 23, 2011 |
For some, fear of flying is a serious phobia that becomes so debilitating it keeps people from taking jobs that involve travel, attending family weddings or funerals and choosing vacations that are accessible by car. For others, airplanes invoke other anxieties, such as a fear of enclosed spaces or a fear of heights.

Therapists - psychiatrists, psychotherapists, psychiatric social workers and other mental health professionals - are as much part of the New York landscape as hot dog vendors. And they have discovered, sometimes the hard way, that delving deeply into people's feelings can be dangerous.

I’m Sorry but You’re Spinning on My Machine |
New York Times, November 1, 2007 |
IF bike 28 is not available, Susan Koeppen’s entire spinning routine is ruined. If any of the mats in Eva Barash’s yoga class are crooked, she cannot continue teaching. And if Pamela Drucker
does not find a treadmill on the fourth floor of her gym, then her exercise
regimen is pretty well shot.

Are they still good fun, or are the video games taking control? |
Boston Globe, May 26, 2005 |
Video games are the reason.
